What is the new Raid feature in Pokemon go? ›

The feature, coming with the most recent Shadow Raids update, will allow players to check how many people are in a raid lobby from a distance without having to actually click on the Gym, potentially saving the need to travel.

The following Pokémon will appear in raids. Gyms may be taken over by either Shadow Raid Bosses or one of the Raid Bosses below. ^^Tapu Fini will appear in raids until Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. ^Regigigas will appear in raids starting Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.

Each month brings a fresh line-up of Raid bosses, ranging from common 1-Star Pokemon to rare 5-Star Legendaries, providing players with opportunities to battle and capture these unique creatures.

Shadow Latias – April 2022. Shadow Latios – July 2022. Shadow Mewtwo – November 2022. Shadow Registeel – February 2023.

To unlock 5 Star Tera Raid battles, you must beat the main story and reach the endgame credits. This involves beating all three storylines: Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Path of Legends. After finishing all three storylines Professor Jacq will contact you about the 5 Star Tera Raids.

Lugia will be in five-star raid battles from March 28, 2023 to April 11, 2023.

On May 21, 2023, Fennekin will appear more frequently in the wild, and lucky Trainers may encounter a shiny Fennekin.

Landorus will be in five-star raid battles from April 11, 2023 to April 17, 2023.

Mew is the first mythical Pokemon that ever appeared in the Pokemon series, and players can catch one of their very own in Pokemon GO.

Pokemon Go 5-Star Raids feature Legendary Pokemon and are sometimes very tough to beat. The recommended number of trainers varies from four to up to ten players between levels 30 and 40.

Remote Raid participation limits:

Trainers will be able to participate in a maximum of five Remote Raids per day.

Pokemon Go raid eggs will only spawn between 5:30am and 7:45pm local time. This means the time raid bosses will be available is 6:30am to 9:30pm, once an egg has hatched. This is because Niantic doesn't want players roaming the streets in the middle of the night, for obvious reasons.

JOINING A RAID BATTLE

Once the Egg hatches, the raid begins and you have 45 minutes to defeat the Boss. Any number of Trainers can join a raid, but only in groups of up to 20 Trainers. If you would like to be in the same group as your friends, you can join the raid privately.

Max Raid Battles are a multiplayer feature that utilises the Dynamax Feature. In the Wild Area, you'll often find areas where a Dynamaxed Pokémon can be found. These are often denoted by a red beam of light coming from the den, but if it is one of the rarer Pokémon it'll have big purple light.

Vaporeon. Vaporeon is one of the two easiest level three bosses to take down. All players need to do is enter the battle with some high CP Exeggutor and Jolteon. The fastest path to victory is by concentrating fire with a Exeggutor that knows Solar Beam.

Raid Egg Colors

Pink Eggs are easier to defeat than Yellow Eggs. Legendary Eggs contain Legendary Pokemon, and as such are enormously difficult to take down. The color only specifies how high a Raid Boss's CP will be - so any color egg could be any species of Pokemon.

The raid bar goes away when you break the bed or sleep in it, because the village gets destroyed when its only bed is unlinked.

Why do raids end at 9? ›

However, the consensus in the Pokémon Go community holds that they start appearing in Gyms around 8-9 a.m. local time and stop around 9 p.m. local time. This is to prevent players, especially younger ones, from going out at night, especially during the cold winter months.

Raid Battles aren't your typical Gym Battle; your opponent is more difficult to defeat than most other Pokémon. Raids have several tiers of difficulty: tier 1, tier 3, tier 5, Mega Raids, and Mega Legendary Raids.

To buy the rare candies in Pokemon Go, you have to get the premium raid passes. In order to get the rare candies as a reward, you need to win more and more battle raids. Rare Candy, unlike other items, cannot bought from the Pokemon shop. It can only be obtained by Raid Boss battles.

Walking with a buddy gives you a chance of receiving one XL Candy for that Pokémon, every time you earn regular candy. Like catching and transferring, your chance of success will rise if your buddy is of a higher level.

EX Raids. EX Raids are the most difficult type of Raid Battle in Pokémon GO – so tough, in fact, that they're invite only. You have to grab an EX Raid Pass that details when and where the EX raid will take place.
